I think the last sentence means that the pearl we're supposed to the sea because there was something evil in the Pearl. I think the Pearl was such an evil thing, for everything that happen to Kino's family, for all the accidents that happen,I mean I don;t things just happen like that, It was because the Pearl because everybody wanted the Pearl, because they weren't going to give him a better price for the Pearl. And the people in the town were really nice, and they hoped that Kino could sell the Pearl, because they wanted Coyotito to studied so he could teach them. In that town, were Kino and Juana lived, there was peace, but every new day that Kino had the pearl everyday wasn't peacefully.
